With over two decades in IT operations and open source software, Tom was the Vice President of Marketing at Solo.io in 2024 Q1 & Q2. He has held senior leadership roles at SUSE, Rancher Labs, Ubuntu, and MariaDB, where he played a significant role in the success of k3s, a lightweight Kubernetes distribution, leading to Rancher Labs' acquisition by SUSE. Tom is also the co-author of books on Kubernetes management and container security and resides in London, UK, with his family.
