Idit founded Solo.io with a vision to simplify application networking for everyone. She co-created Istio's ambient mode — the sidecar-less architecture that's reshaping how organizations adopt service mesh. Solo.io has become one of the largest corporate contributors to the Istio project.

Lin has been an Istio maintainer since 2017 and serves on both the Technical Oversight Committee and Steering Committee. A CNCF TOC member and ambassador, she authored “Istio Ambient Explained” and holds over 200 patents from her 15+ years as a Senior Technical Staff Member at IBM.

John has been the #1 individual contributor to Istio for over four years. A founder of both Istio ambient mode and agentgateway, he serves on the Technical Oversight Committee and leads the networking working group. Previously at Google, his commits accounted for 60% of all Google contributions to Istio.

Louis co-founded both Istio and gRPC at Google, shaping two of the most critical projects in cloud-native infrastructure. As Solo.io's CTO, he brings deep architectural vision to the next generation of service networking. He's been involved with Istio since before its public launch and continues as an active TOC leader.

Christian is the author of "Istio in Action" and co-author of "Istio Ambient Explained," the definitive guides to service mesh in production. As Global Field CTO, he bridges the gap between Istio's engineering depth and real-world enterprise adoption, helping organizations architect and deploy mesh at scale.

Ram brings deep product and field expertise to the Istio Steering Committee. Previously at IBM, he served as Technical Product Manager for Kubernetes and Istio and was an Istio Steering Committee member. At Solo.io, he serves as a Principal Architect channeling the real world needs of users and customers to inform product strategy for enterprise service mesh and cloud-native networking.

Yuval is a co-creator of Istio's ambient mode and a driving force behind Solo.io's mesh architecture. As Chief Architect, he leads the engineering vision for next-generation service networking, bringing deep expertise in data plane innovation, ztunnel, and traffic redirection mechanisms that make ambient mesh possible.
