Our Envoy Proxy at Scale learning series

We have a learning series of blog posts about Gloo Edge scalability and a webinar on June 8th, 2021 to explore further.

In the first blog post, Envoy at Scale with Gloo Edge, we performed benchmarks to determine how Gloo Edge was able to scale in term of requests per second (RPS.) We also provided information about the throughput one can expect based on the number of CPUs allocated to the gateway-proxy (Envoy) pod.

In the second blog post, Security at Scale with Gloo Edge, we measured the impact of enabling different security features, including HTTPS, JSON Web Tokens (JWT), API keys, and a web application firewall (WAF.)

In the third blog post, WebAssembly at Scale with Gloo Edge, we measured the impact of deploying a WebAssembly (Wasm) filter to modify the request or response headers or body.

Check out the resources above to see how you can expect your own Envoy-based API gateway to scale!
