March 5 | Solo.io Online Meetup

Join the group here

The first meetup of the year features guest speakers  Kevin DeLorey and Brian Vandre from Frasca Interntational, Inc. Kevin DeLorey is a Software Architect and Brian Vandre is a Lead Software Engineer at Frasca working on their adoption of Kubernetes, Gloo, Linkerd, Prometheus, Grafana, and more. About Frasca International: For more than 60 years Frasca International, Inc. has been building flight simulations of all levels for companies and flight schools all over the world. To combat the ongoing pilot shortage, Frasca’s current goal is to make flight training more accessible to instructors and students by modernizing our tech stack and starting with bringing our simulators to the cloud.

March 5-6 | QCon London Workshop

Christian Posta [solo.io] and Nic Jackson [HashiCorp] team up for the workshop: Debugging Microservices Applications
Building microservices applications introduces more complexity into our architecture. What we gain in speed of delivery is a new challenge: failure modes are harder to anticipate, discover and resolve. In this workshop, we introduce the audience to the types of failures that can occur, namely networking, application behavior/code, storage, etc and present a systemic workflow for prodding and exploring a system to detect faults and abnormal behavior.

This workshop is offered on the following days and times

March 10 | Hoot: Get to Know Kuma and Maesh

Our series “Get to Know Service Mesh” continues with the new newest entrants into the service mesh space; Kuma and Maesh. In this session our engineers will go over their respective service mesh implementation and live demo a scenario from their documentation.
