Job Description

The Recruiter will be the first recruiting hire in our Series-C funded startup with 80+ people. The position is a chance to get in on the ground floor of a hyper-growth software company, headquartered in Cambridge, MA. The position will partner with our CEO and other senior execs to identify and hire top candidates in the market for positions within engineering, sales, customer success, and more. This is a great position for ambitious candidates who want to get leadership experience, but also who can roll up their sleeves and be the sole contributor at times. 

Job Duties

  • Develop a recruiting strategy for that builds off of our success recruiting from employee networks and leveraging external recruiters
  • Collaborate with senior members of the team to drive hiring results in a competitive market
  • Coordinate recruitment process including:
    • Gather applicant profiles, helps organize and categorize and present to hiring manager(s) for evaluation
    • Interface with recruiters and/or direct applicants to coordinate interviews
    • Work with interviewers to coordinate and schedule interviews and evaluation meetings
  • Develop proven sourcing strategies, including social networking and direct sourcing, driving candidate pipelines that meet ambitious hiring goals
  • Assist with Job Posting:
    • With minimal guidance, work with hiring managers to document and post new job openings
    • Help document, publish and promote new job requisitions in our website as well as various other media
    • Work with marketing to promote high priority job postings
  • Help with activities upon new hire offer:
    • Run background checks as needed
    • Run reference checks as needed
    • Any other post offer duties as needed
  • Help with onboarding process for new hires as needed


  • 5+ years of professional recruiting experience in high tech, preferably software
  • Extremely organized and keen at managing multiple schedules
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Proficient in various tools including MS Office, Google Suite, WordPress
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced and rapidly growing environment embraces diversity and equal opportunity.
