Middle - Senior is searching for Deal Desk Analyst. This will be a cross-functional role working with Sales and Finance, establishing and improving processes, and building scalable solutions that help our sales teams and leadership make informed decisions. We are a distributed team with coverage across all GEOs.

This role is based in North America.


  • Develop robust and repeatable deal processes, identifying process improvement, automation, and sales training opportunities – and manage deal process to completion
    • Develops in-depth knowledge of Solo’s licensing and pricing models to provide deal structuring and quoting support to our sales teams.
  • Collaborate on pricing, product, and commercial terms for non-standard transactions
  • Collaborate with regional Sales leadership and Account Executives to develop pricing strategies, dynamic Excel models, and terms sheets as part of the proposal building process primarily for Enterprise and Strategic Accounts
  • Maintain a holistic view of a deal during contract negotiations; drive internal stakeholder discussions and alignment on customer concerns or key business issues that arise during negotiations to help move deals forward
  • Be a subject matter expert on sales and revenue compliance policies and advise Account Executives on alternative compliant contract options; ability to think outside of the box
  • Partner with the revenue team to review or address revenue recognition concerns for non-standard deal structures
  • Review and partner on order booking & fulfillment processes within Salesforce & billing system
  • Manages the flow of information across multiple groups, such as Sales, Services, Operations, etc. to facilitate the deal process
    • Partners with other teams to manage the contract review process for a variety of commercial, revenue recognition, and non-standard deal structures
    • Ensures that the execution of the deal review and approval process follows company policies and guidelines
  • Understands the Company’s bookings policy and work closely with GTM Ops to ensure proper reporting of deals in company CRM
  • In partnership with other company functions, helps set policies, process and procedures and assists or drives their implementation
  • Creates and develops the internal relationships with groups across the company to help facilitate the deal process
  • Performs other related duties and activities as required

Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related relevant areas
    • MBA or related preferred
  • 5+ of years of related experience, preferably in deal desk, finance, contracts or sales operations positions in High Tech/Software Industry
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient with using Google Sheet and/or Microsoft Excel is essential
  • Solid organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities with attention to details
  • Preferred experience with:
    • Complex contract negotiations and long sales cycles
    • Salesforce CPQ preferred
  • Ability to read, understand and draft contractual business terms and conditions
  • Understanding of revenue recognition principles and US GAAP
  • Ability to break down complex ideas and issues and communicate in simple terms to different levels of the organization
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (written and verbal)
  • Team player and effective communicator with all levels of management and cross-functional organizations
  • Strong customer service orientation and a desire to help others succeed embraces diversity and equality for all.
